Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 08 October 2026.
Scope of the Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered by stagelinkra through its website. The services include professional training in video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work and the creation of high-quality media feeds for news and broadcasting. It covers individual course enrolments, subscription packages and any bundled digital materials or live sessions. The policy governs transactions made by consumers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, when contracts are formed and the circumstances under which refunds may be granted. It does not apply to business-to-business contracts or services delivered outside the United Kingdom unless expressly stated.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax at the prevailing UK rate. Where courses are offered on a subscription basis, the price shown at checkout is the recurring amount due. Additional charges such as payment processing fees or currency conversion costs may apply if a card issued outside the UK is used. stagelinkra reserves the right to adjust prices for future purchases; existing enrolments remain at the price confirmed at the time of booking. No hidden fees are added after the total is displayed at checkout.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers for course purchases. Payment is authorised at the point of order. All card transactions are processed through secure third-party gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. stagelinkra does not store full card details. Authorisation may be declined if the payment method is invalid or if fraud screening flags the transaction. In such cases the order will not proceed until a valid payment is received.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
Upon successful payment an order confirmation email is sent containing course access details. A binding contract is formed when the confirmation is issued. Until that point the customer may cancel without penalty. Access to digital course content is granted immediately after confirmation, which affects cancellation rights as explained below.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 consumers in the United Kingdom have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase. This right applies to distance contracts. However, if access to digital content or live sessions begins within the cooling-off period the right to cancel is lost once the service has started. Customers must expressly consent to immediate access and acknowledge loss of cancellation rights before content is released.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available within the 14-day period if no course content has been accessed. Once a course module has been viewed or a live session attended, the purchase becomes non-refundable. Promotional or discounted bundles may have separate eligibility rules stated at purchase. Physical materials, if supplied, must be returned unused for any refund to be considered. Services already delivered are excluded from refund claims.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund the customer must contact [email protected] or use the contact form on the website within 14 days of purchase. The request must include the order number, full name, email address used for purchase and a clear statement of the reason. Supporting evidence such as screenshots of access status may be requested. Requests sent by post to 6 Union Court, 20-22 Union Road, London, SW4 6JP, United Kingdom will also be accepted but processing will take longer.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Upon receipt of a refund request stagelinkra will inspect account activity to verify whether content has been accessed. A decision will be communicated by email within 10 working days. If approved the refund will be processed; if rejected detailed reasons will be provided together with information on any applicable appeal process. Repeated or abusive refund requests may result in account restrictions.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within 5 to 10 working days depending on the card issuer. PayPal refunds are usually credited within 3 working days. Bank transfers may take up to 10 working days. stagelinkra is not responsible for delays caused by third-party financial institutions.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Digital courses and live-streamed sessions are treated as digital content. Once streaming or download begins the cancellation right is lost. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers such as early-bird pricing are non-refundable after the promotional period ends. Customers may cancel future renewals at any time via their account dashboard.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments will result in suspension of course access until resolved. Duplicate charges detected by our systems are automatically refunded. Customers who initiate chargebacks without first contacting stagelinkra may have future purchases declined. Suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to relevant authorities and accounts suspended pending investigation.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom
This policy does not affect statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Consumers retain the right to remedies for faulty digital content or services not provided with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
