Who we are and our role as data controller

stagelinkra operates this website as the data controller under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are responsible for deciding how and why personal data is processed when you interact with our services focused on professional video operations, live signal management, content distribution, camera work and high-quality media feeds for broadcasting.

Scope of this notice

This policy applies to all visitors to the website, individuals who submit enquiries through the contact form, and any other persons whose personal data we process in connection with our commercial activities in the United Kingdom. It does not cover data processed by third-party websites we may mention in passing.

Categories of personal data and their sources

We collect contact details such as name, email address, phone number and organisation when you use the contact form. We may also receive technical data including IP address, browser type and device information from your device when you visit the site. Additional information may come from service providers who help us manage media feeds or from publicly available professional directories. We do not collect special category data unless you voluntarily provide it.

Purposes of processing and legal bases

We process contact data to respond to enquiries and provide information about our media feed services on the basis of legitimate interest and, where appropriate, consent. Technical data is processed to ensure site functionality and security under legitimate interest. Where you request quotes or service details we rely on contractual necessity. Direct marketing communications are sent only with your consent or where soft opt-in applies under PECR.

Whether providing data is required

Supplying contact information through the form is voluntary. However, if you choose not to provide it we may be unable to respond to your enquiry or deliver the requested service. Technical data is collected automatically; refusing cookies may limit certain site features as explained in our separate Cookie Policy.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve performance and remember preferences. Details of the specific cookies deployed, their purposes and how to manage them are set out in our separate Cookie Policy. You can adjust your browser settings or use the site-wide cookie banner to control non-essential cookies in line with PECR requirements.

Processors, recipients and legal disclosures

We engage service providers such as hosting companies, email delivery platforms and analytics providers to support our operations. These processors act under our instructions and subject to appropriate contracts. We may disclose data where required by law, regulation or court order, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. No sale of personal data occurs.

International transfers

Some processors may be located outside the United Kingdom. In such cases we ensure adequate safeguards including standard contractual clauses approved by the UK Government or other appropriate transfer mechanisms under UK GDPR Chapter V.

Retention periods

Contact data is retained for up to three years after the last interaction unless you request earlier deletion. Technical logs are kept for twelve months for security and troubleshooting. Data required for legal or regulatory compliance may be retained longer where necessary.

Security and data minimisation

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls and regular security reviews. We collect only the data necessary for the stated purposes and encourage users to provide the minimum information required when contacting us.

Your data subject rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise these rights please contact us using the details on our Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests.

Withdrawing consent and objecting to marketing

Where processing relies on consent you may withdraw it at any time by contacting [email protected] or using unsubscribe links in communications. You may also object to direct marketing and profiling at any time without charge.

Right to complain to the supervisory authority

If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We encourage you to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve the issue.

Children and age restrictions

Our services are intended for professional users aged eighteen and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data please contact [email protected] so we can delete it.

Automated decision-making and profiling

We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Any analytics we perform are for internal service improvement only.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal or operational changes. The current version will always be available on this page with the last updated date displayed at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
